THE PETREL STATION TRIP REPORT

Had a great day out on the latest pelagic seabird tour to The Petrel Station, offshore from Tutukaka (in Northland, New Zealand). Conditions on the day were fine, 15 knot winds through the day and a 1.5m swell - excellent for seabirds

During the tour we recorded 19 different seabird species. See below for the full list of seabirds recorded on the tour.

If you’re interested in coming out to The Petrel Station then check out the upcoming trip dates and get in touch – it’s always a great day out. We've got plenty of Autumn tours coming up which is a great time for potential migrating seabirds, and Albatross head back up to our area.

A huge thanks to Downer NZ for helping make this tour, and the research for the day, possible with your generous contribution through the Downer Donate scheme. Your amazing support is very much appreciated. www.downergroup.co.nz
