THE PETREL STATION TRIP REPORT

Had another great day out on the latest pelagic seabird tour to The Petrel Station, offshore from Tutukaka (in Northland, New Zealand). Conditions on the day were sunny, with lightish winds (5 to 10 knots) and an easy 1m swell.

During the tour we recorded 18 different seabird species, and enjoyed watching just under 15,000 stunning seabirds in total! See below for the full list of seabirds recorded on the tour.

If you’re interested in coming out to The Petrel Station then check out the upcoming trip dates and get in touch – it’s always a great day out. We've got plenty of Autumn tours coming up which is a great time for potential migrating seabirds, and Albatross head back up to our area.
